Nissan has introduced a retrofit CNG kit for
the Nissan Gravite, featuring a dual-cylinder setup. Priced at ₹82,999, this
kit is currently available across 16 states in India, offering a more
economical fuel option for buyers.
Nissan Gravite CNG Kit Introduced
The Gravite,
based on Renault's CMF-A platform, is a practical 7-seater MPV designed for family use. With its spacious cabin and a usable third row, it focuses on comfort and flexibility for both daily commuting and long-distance travel.
The introduction of the CNG retrofit kit further
enhances its appeal, especially for cost-conscious buyers. CNG offers better
fuel efficiency and lower running costs compared to petrol, making it ideal for
high-usage scenarios.

Dual-Cylinder Setup for Better Practicality
One of the
key highlights of this retrofit kit is its twin-cylinder configuration, which
helps retain usable boot space while accommodating the CNG system. This ensures
that the vehicle continues to offer its full 7-seater capability without
compromising practicality.
The kit is government-approved and quality-assured
by Motozen. It will be installed through authorised Nissan dealerships,
ensuring reliability and proper integration. Nissan is also offering a
3-year/1,00,000 km warranty on the retrofit system, adding peace of mind for
customers.
Company Statement
Speaking on the launch, Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, said that the Gravite CNG builds on the positive response to the Magnite CNG. He highlighted that the dual-cylinder
solution is designed to maintain the vehicle's practicality, flexibility, and
comfort while offering a more economical alternative for everyday use.
Engine and Performance
The Nissan Gravite is
powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 72 PS of
power and 96 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. In CNG
mode, power output is expected to be slightly lower, and the option is likely
to be limited to the manual transmission.
Features and Pricing
The Gravite
comes equipped with features such as signature LED headlamps with DRLs, premium
fog lamps, steering-mounted controls, rain-sensing wipers, one-touch power
windows, JBL speakers, dual dash cams, ambient lighting, and wireless charging.
The MPV is priced from ₹5.65 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most
affordable 7-seaters in India. With the addition of the CNG kit, Nissan aims to
further strengthen its value proposition in the budget MPV segment.
