Premium car manufacturer Skoda recently launched its new model, Kylaq, in India. The company has introduced this car in the domestic market at a very competitive price, with a starting price of just ₹7.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite the affordable price, the car comes equipped with several premium features.
Additionally, the Skoda Kylaq is regarded as an excellent model in terms of safety. It has received a 5-star safety rating from Bharat-NCAP. Skoda has now revealed the mileage figures for its new sub-4 meter compact SUV, Kylaq, and these figures indicate that it outperforms the segment leader, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, in terms of mileage.
Skoda Kylaq Powertrain and Mileage
The Kylaq has a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine that generates 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. Skoda has now revealed the mileage figures, stating that the car delivers up to 19.68 km/l with the manual transmission and 19.05 km/l with the torque converter automatic.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is currently the best-selling sub-4-meter SUV in the market. It claims a mileage of 17.38 km/l to 19.68 km/l. Notably, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza was the top-selling compact SUV in India in 2024, with 188,160 units sold.
Skoda Kylaq Variants and Price
The Skoda Kylaq has multiple variants, including Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige. The entry-level Classic variant is priced at ₹7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-end Prestige variant is priced at ₹14.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

For safety, it comes with standard features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, electronic differential lock, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Additionally, it includes features like an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment display, side AC vents, a climate control panel, and a two-spoke steering wheel.
