Tata Nexon: One of the Best-Selling Affordable SUVs from the Company
May 2025 turned out to be an excellent month for the Tata Nexon. During this
period, the SUV attracted 13,096 new buyers, reflecting a 14% growth compared
to May 2024’s sales figure of 11,457 units. This compact SUV is popular for its
stylish design, advanced safety features, and availability in multiple
powertrain options.
Tata Nexon Price:
The ex-showroom price of the Tata Nexon starts at ₹8 lakh and goes up to ₹15.80
lakh for the top variant. The SUV is available in various variants, including
petrol, diesel, and CNG options.
The CNG model of the Nexon is priced between ₹9.03 lakh and ₹18.37 lakh
(ex-showroom). Tata Nexon also comes with an electric powertrain option, which
is priced at ₹12.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Nexon Features:
The new Tata Nexon comes equipped with features such as a 10.25-inch
touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
support, a digital driver display, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats,
a 360-degree camera, cruise control, a wireless charger, and automatic climate
control.
Safety:
Tata Nexon is known for its strong build quality and advanced safety features.
It has received a 5-star safety rating in the BNCAP crash test. The Nexon comes
with 6 airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, ISOFIX
child seat mounts, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD, and
rear parking sensors.
Powertrain and Mileage:
Tata Nexon comes with three engine options – a 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine,
a 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine, and a CNG engine. Depending on the variant
and engine choice, this SUV is available with 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT, and
7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) options. The mileage of Tata Nexon
varies based on the engine and transmission. Its petrol variant offers a fuel
efficiency of 17-23 kmpl, the diesel variant delivers 21-24 kmpl, while the CNG
model provides a mileage of up to 17.44 km/kg.
