On 14th February 2025, Mahindra & Mahindra created a new milestone in India’s electric vehicle journey. The brand received a massive 30,179 bookings in a single day for its all-new XEV 9e and BE 6 electric SUVs, generating an impressive ₹8,472 crore (ex-showroom) in booking value. This historic response clearly shows how rapidly Indian buyers are embracing electric SUVs.Among the total bookings, the Mahindra XEV 9e emerged as the more popular choice, accounting for 56% of the demand, while the sporty BE 6 captured the remaining 44%. What’s even more interesting is buyer preference—nearly 73% of customers opted for the top-end Pack 3 variant, which comes equipped with a 79 kWh battery, indicating strong demand for long-range, feature-rich EVs.
Delivery Timeline Announced by Mahindra:
- Pack 3: Deliveries begin mid-March 2025
- Pack 2: Deliveries scheduled for July 2025
- Pack One Above & Pack One: Deliveries from August 2025
This booking record marks a turning point for the Indian EV market, especially in the premium electric SUV segment.
