Mahindra & Mahindra has taken a giant leap in India’s electric vehicle journey! On February 14, 2025, the homegrown automaker created history by recording a staggering 30,179 bookings in a single day for its newly launched electric SUVs—the XEV 9e and BE 6. This phenomenal response translated into a massive ₹8,472 crore in bookings at ex-showroom prices, clearly highlighting the rapidly growing acceptance of EVs among Indian buyers.
Breaking down the numbers, the XEV 9e emerged as the crowd favorite, accounting for 56% of total bookings, while the futuristic BE 6 captured the remaining 44%. What’s even more impressive is customer preference for premium offerings—73% of buyers opted for the top-end Pack 3 variant, which comes equipped with a powerful 79 kWh battery pack, promising long range, strong performance, and cutting-edge technology.
Mahindra has also laid out a clear delivery roadmap to ensure transparency and customer confidence. Deliveries of the Pack 3 variants will begin from mid-March 2025, followed by Pack 2 in July 2025. The Pack One Above and Pack One variants are scheduled for August 2025 deliveries, ensuring a phased and well-managed rollout. This structured approach reflects Mahindra’s seriousness about quality, customer satisfaction, and execution.
This booking milestone is more than just a sales achievement—it represents a turning point for India’s EV ecosystem. With rising fuel prices, increasing environmental awareness, and improved charging infrastructure, Indian consumers are now actively embracing electric mobility. Mahindra’s bold design language, advanced battery technology, and feature-rich packaging have clearly struck the right chord.
