Aston Martin DBX GT Is The Comfort-First DBX - Still With 727hp
By CarVaidyaBritish luxury
carmaker Aston Martin has revealed the DBX GT as a luxury-focused variant of
the DBX SUV, positioned alongside the sportier DBX S. Deliveries of the Aston
Martin DBX GT are set to begin in Q4 2026 across global markets.
The 4.0-litre
twin-turbo V8 is carried over from the DBX S to the DBX GT without changes and
continues to produce 727hp and 900Nm. A 9-speed automatic sends power to all
four wheels, and Aston Martin claims a 0-100km/h time of 3.1 seconds and a top
speed of 310km/h.
The tweaks to the DBX GT focus on comfort.
The throttle pedal and gearbox have been retuned for smoother operation, and
the suspension has been revised for a more pliant ride on bad roads. A pair of
dampers fitted between the body and rear subframe keeps movement in check. The DBX GT's exhaust system gets a dedicated tune, which Aston Martin says
delivers a cleaner, richer tone. At the rear, the quad exhaust tips now sit
horizontally.
The Aston Martin DBXGT's front bumper is body-coloured with a cleaner look and no red accents, and
the redesigned grille uses horizontal slats in place of a mesh pattern. The
two-piece side strakes are finished in satin silver, while the side sills and
rear diffuser are body-coloured. The DBX GT rides on 22-inch alloy wheels as
standard, with 23-inch units offered as an option.
The cabin layout remains unchanged. Seats are
trimmed in new leather and use slightly thicker memory-foam cushions; the drive
mode selector and surrounding rotary controls are in anodised metal, and the
floor gets deep-pile carpets. Buyers can pick from a wide range of colour
schemes and upholstery options. Sound deadening and window lamination have been
upgraded to better isolate occupants from outside noise. A fixed panoramic
glass roof is fitted as standard.
Aston Martin CEO, Adrian Hallmark, said:"DBX GT is aimed at customers who prefer assured elegance over
sporting aggression and demand a higher degree of luxury. By refining the
visual drama and elevating the interior with new elements of craftsmanship, the
DBX GT delivers a true ultra-luxury experience; one which comes with no sacrifice
in performance."
