Honda City Facelift: Launching May 22 with Ventilated Seats & 360° Camera Expected
By CarVaidyaHonda City, one of the
most popular sedans in the Indian market, is set to receive a facelift on May
22, 2026. This update is expected to introduce several new features,
technologies, and convenience enhancements aimed at making the car more
comfortable and competitive in the highly competitive mid-size sedan segment.
The Honda City
competes against models such as the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and
Hyundai Verna. With rivals offering a wide range of premium features, Honda is
expected to update the City to match these offerings while keeping pricing
competitive. Here are some of the key features expected in the upcoming
facelift.
The current model also misses out on a
360-degree surround-view camera, a feature that has become increasingly common
in this segment. Competitors such as the Hyundai Verna already offer this
technology. A 360-degree surround-view camera would greatly assist drivers
while parking and maneuvering in tight urban spaces.
The facelift is
expected to bring a more advanced digital instrument cluster and an updated
infotainment system. Similar to the setup found in the Honda Elevate, the City
may receive a larger floating touchscreen with improved graphics and additional
connectivity features. The instrument cluster could also gain new display modes
and enhanced information.
Honda is likely to
enhance the City's connected technology package. The current removable wireless
charging accessory may be replaced with an integrated factory-fitted wireless
charger. Additional connected car features and smartphone integration are also
expected to improve convenience and overall user experience.
The interior of the
facelifted Honda City is expected to receive subtle but meaningful updates,
including new upholstery, revised seat designs, and improved trim materials.
The City already offers one of the most premium cabin experiences in its
segment, and these updates could make it look even more modern and
sophisticated.
The Honda City
facelift is scheduled to launch in India on May 22, 2026, alongside a new SUV
that is widely expected to be the Honda ZR-V hybrid. In addition to the
standard petrol variants, the Honda City e: HEV is also expected to receive the
same facelift updates.
The Honda ZR-V is likely to be introduced as a
Completely Built Unit (CBU) and is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre
naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with Honda's strong hybrid system.
This combination is designed to deliver an excellent balance of performance and
fuel efficiency.
