Honda to Launch Hybrid SUV with ADAS in India Soon

Honda plans to expand its vehicle lineup in India. Recently, at the annual dealer conference in India, Honda showcased the ZR-V e: HEV. Following this, speculations are rising that the automaker may soon launch its Honda ZR-V Hybrid SUV in the Indian market. However, there has been no official information regarding its launch yet.

The ZR-V Hybrid car is already being sold in countries like the US and China. It shares its platform with the 11th-generation Civic model launched in 2021. Honda may bring the ZR-V to India as a completely built unit, just like it did with the CR-V and Accord Hybrid.

The ZR-V Hybrid is available internationally with two different drive setups, one featuring a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine and the other an e: HEV hybrid system. It is expected that this car could offer a mileage of up to 22 km per liter."

The hybrid model pairs a 2.0-liter petrol engine with two electric motors, connected to an electric CVT gearbox. This setup generates 181hp and 315Nm of torque. In comparison, the petrol-only model generates 176hp and 240Nm of torque and uses a CVT gearbox.

The Honda ZR-V Hybrid SUV has a length of 4,568 mm, a width of 1,840 mm, a height of 1,620 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,655 mm. Its cabin features a minimalist design with a dual-tone dashboard. As for features, it may come with a 10.2-inch instrument cluster for the driver, a freestanding infotainment screen, a wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, telescopic steering, keyless entry, power-adjustable front seats with heated functions, and safety features like ADAS.
