Hyundai Creta Flex Fuel: Bye to Pollution & Petrol Worries

As always, Hyundai India has participated in the Bharat Mobility Global Expo this year. Hyundai, one of the most popular companies in the country, showcased the Flex Fuel version of the Creta along with launching the Creta Electric at the 2025 Auto Expo. Let’s take a look at what the company has presented through this concept.

What’s Special About Hyundai Creta Flex Fuel?

The Flex Fuel-powered Creta appears fully ready. The company claims that this popular SUV will run on both 100% petrol and 100% ethanol fuel options. It is already being sold in several foreign markets, including South America, where ethanol is abundantly available.

Design and Dimensions

The Hyundai Creta Flex Fuel showcased at Auto Expo 2025 features a design similar to the current model. Its dimensions are also identical to the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) Creta. However, the car sports a "Flex Fuel" badge on the side and the number plate, highlighting its unique identity.

Engine and Performance

The Creta Flex Fuel is expected to be equipped with an updated version of the engine found in the Hyundai i10 and Hyundai Verna. The likely candidate is a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine capable of producing approximately 118 bhp of power and 172 Nm of peak torque. As mentioned, this engine can run entirely on ethanol, making it a sustainable option.

Entry of Hyundai Creta Electric

Alongside unveiling the Flex Fuel Creta, Hyundai has also launched the Creta Electric at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The starting ex-showroom price is set at ₹17.99 lakh, going up to ₹23.49 lakh for the top variant. With the launch, the company has also opened bookings for this electric car.
