In August 2025, Hyundai became the second-largest car-selling
company in the country after Maruti Suzuki. The company sold a total of 44,001
units last month. This figure reflects an 11 percent year-on-year decline
compared to the 49,525 units sold in August 2024. Let’s take a look at the
company’s Model-Wise Sales Report.
Hyundai Creta
Topping the list is the popular SUV, Hyundai Creta, which
was purchased by 15,924 customers last month. This figure shows a 5 percent
year-on-year decline compared to the 16,762 units sold in August 2024.
Its starting ex-showroom price is just ₹11.11 lakh, which
will further reduce after the GST cut. From September 22, customers are
expected to be able to buy it for ₹10,72,589. The Hyundai Creta offers a
maximum claimed mileage of 21.8 kmpl and can be purchased with both diesel and
petrol engine options. Key features include a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree
camera, ADAS, and 6 airbags.
Hyundai Venue
In terms of sales, Hyundai Venue takes the second spot. Last
month, 8,109 customers purchased it. This figure indicates an 11 percent
year-on-year decline compared to the 9,085 units sold in August 2024.
Hyundai Aura
The sales of Hyundai Aura have increased. Last month, it
gained 5,336 new customers. However, compared to the 4,304 units sold in August
2024, this shows a 24 percent year-on-year decline.
Hyundai Exter
The sales of Hyundai Exter continue to decline. In August
2025, a total of 5,061 customers purchased it. This figure shows a 24 percent
drop compared to the 6,632 units sold in August 2024.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
In fifth place is the Grand i10 Nios, which was bought by
3,908 customers last month. This reflects a 27 percent year-on-year decline
compared to the 5,365 units sold in August 2024.
Apart from the company’s top 5 cars mentioned above, Hyundai
also sold 3,634 units of the i20, 1,187 units of the Alcazar, 771 units of the
Verna, 57 units of the Tucson, and only 14 units of the Ioniq 5 last month.
