Skoda recently introduced the Kylaq as its most affordable SUV in the Indian market. It has performed exceptionally well in the Bharat NCAP crash test, earning a 5-star safety rating. Safety Rating

Talking about the Hyundai Venue, this sub-four-meter SUV received a 4-star rating for adult safety and only a 3-star rating for child safety in the Global NCAP crash test. On the other hand, the Skoda Kylaq received a 5-star rating from BNCAP for the safety of both adults and children.

Price

At the beginning of 2025, Hyundai Venue saw a slight price hike. Customers can still purchase the SUV at an ex-showroom price of ₹7.94 lakh. However, the top-spec variant is now available at an increased price of ₹13.62 lakh (ex-showroom), reflecting a ₹9,000 hike. On the other hand, the Skoda Kylaq starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹7.89 lakh, with the top-spec variant priced at ₹14.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the Kylaq are currently open, and deliveries will begin on January 27, 2025.

Features and Safety

The Hyundai Venue comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an air purifier, a semi-digital driver display, ventilated front seats, connected car technology, a sunroof, cruise control, and wireless phone charging. For safety, it includes 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, and Level-1 ADAS features.

On the other hand, the Skoda Kylaq offers a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, powered front seats, a two-spoke steering wheel, semi-leatherette seat upholstery, a single-pane sunroof, ventilated seats, and ambient lighting. For safety, it features 6 airbags as standard, TPMS, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill-hold assist, and a reverse parking camera.
