Maruti Suzuki has launched its popular Dzire sedan in a hybrid avatar. However, this car has recently been introduced to the Philippine market. According to reports, it is expected to be launched in the Indian market in the coming days.

This hybrid car is available in GL and GLX variants. In the Philippines, the starting price of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire Hybrid is PHP 998,000 (approximately ₹13.9 lakh). The top-end variant is priced at PHP 1,088,000 (around ₹15.08 lakh).

Apart from the hybrid powertrain setup, most of the features and specifications of the Dzire are based on the India-spec VXI and ZXI variants.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire Hybrid Engine

The Philippines-spec Maruti Dzire uses a 1.2-litre, inline-3 gasoline engine. It is paired with a 12-volt hybrid system, delivering a total power output of 82 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. This powertrain comes with the option of a CVT gearbox.

Maruti Dzire Hybrid Specifications

The new Dzire Hybrid has been tailored for the Philippines market, so it features a left-hand drive setup. Additionally, some new color options have been introduced. However, unlike the India-spec Dzire, which offers a sunroof, the Philippines model does not come with this feature.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire Price

Talking about the Maruti Dzire currently sold in the Indian market, its starting ex-showroom price is ₹6.84 lakh. This sedan is available in both petrol and CNG options, and it is capable of delivering a mileage of up to 35 km/kg in the CNG variant.

Engine and Mileage

The India-spec Maruti Dzire comes with a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. The petrol model offers a mileage of up to 25.71 kmpl. According to reports, the mileage of the Dzire Hybrid is expected to be around 35 kmpl.

Safety

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire has already received a 5-star safety rating in the GNCAP crash test. Standard safety features include 6 airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, brake assist, and 3-point seat belts for all seats.
