2025 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Price and Sales Report
In the past month, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R found 13,949 new buyers, which shows a
slight decline compared to 14,492 units sold during the same period in May
2024. The company recently updated this model with standard 6-airbag safety.
In the domestic market, the ex-showroom price of the base variant of the
Wagon R starts at ₹5.78 lakh and goes up to ₹8 lakh for the top variant. The
Wagon R is available in different variants such as LXi, VXi, and ZXi, offering
both manual and automatic (AMT) transmission options. In this price range, it
remains one of the most affordable cars in its segment.
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Features and Safety
Along with being affordable, the Wagon R also offers premium features. These
include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple
CarPlay support, keyless entry, power windows, multi-function steering wheel,
and dual-tone interiors.
For safety, the
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R now comes equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear
parking sensors, hill hold assist, and a seatbelt reminder, making it an
excellent car for small families.
Engine and
Transmission
The
Wagon R is available with two petrol and a CNG powertrain option. Its
1.0-litre K10C petrol engine generates 68 hp of power and 90 Nm of torque. This
comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The CNG model also uses the same
engine and transmission setup.
On the other
hand, the 1.2-litre K12M petrol engine produces 88.5 hp of power and 113 Nm of
torque. It is offered with both manual and automatic (AMT) transmission
options.
In terms of
mileage, the petrol (manual) model delivers between 23.56 kmpl to 24.43 kmpl,
the petrol (AMT) offers 24.35 kmpl, and the CNG variant is capable of
delivering up to 33.54 km/kg.
