On May 9th, Maruti Suzuki launched the fourth generation of the Swift hatchback in the domestic market. According to reports, the company plans to introduce this car with a CNG powertrain in the coming months.
Like the new Maruti Suzuki Swift, the CNG-powered model will come with a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine. However, it is expected to produce less power and torque compared to the petrol model and will be available only with a manual gearbox.
The new Swift hatchback currently available for purchase is priced between ₹6.49 lakh and ₹9.64 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the variant. However, the CNG version is expected to be priced approximately ₹90,000 to ₹95,000 higher than the petrol model.
As for the features, it is likely to have the same features as the current model. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift offers a mileage of 24.8 to 25.75 km per liter.
According to reports, the car with the CNG powertrain option could offer a mileage of 32 km/kg. Currently, the automaker has not provided any official information regarding the launch of the new Swift CNG model.
The new Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback, introduced last week, features an updated design. As for the car's features, it includes LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, and LED taillights.
This car is available in LXI, VXI, VXI (O), ZXI, and ZXI Plus variants. The new Swift can comfortably accommodate 5 people. It is also available in several attractive colors, including Sizzling Red, Pearl Arctic White, Magma Grey, and Lucent Orange.
It features a 9-inch infotainment screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, auto climate control, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a wireless charger, and an Arkamys-tuned sound system, among other latest features.
The new Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback comes with the latest safety features. This car includes 6 airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), TCS (Traction Control System), 3-point seatbelts, and a seat belt reminder. Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch are strong competitors to this car.
