Tata Motors has released the teaser of the 2026 Tata Punch Facelift, confirming the addition of ADAS technology and a 360-degree camera. The teaser clearly shows that the best-selling micro SUV in its segment is set to become safer, smarter, and more premium than ever. The company will launch the updated Punch in the Indian market on 13 January 2026. Let’s take a closer look at its engine, specifications, and expected price details.

2026 Tata Punch Facelift Launch Date & Expected Price

The official launch of the Tata Punch Facelift is scheduled for 13 January 2026, after which bookings will begin. Deliveries are expected to start within 4–6 weeks of the launch. In terms of pricing, the base Smart variant is likely to start at an ex-showroom price of around ₹6 lakh, which is approximately ₹50,000 higher than the current model. However, the exact price range will be revealed closer to the launch.

Design and Looks

The 2026 Tata Punch Facelift draws design inspiration from the Punch EV. Exterior updates include slimmer LED DRLs, angular headlights, a matte black honeycomb grille, and a more aggressive lower bumper with fog lamps. It also gets new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
At the rear, the facelifted Punch features updated LED taillights, faux skid plates, and sleek “PUNCH” badging. The side profile remains largely unchanged, but the black body cladding has been extended for a more rugged stance.

For safety, the teaser clearly showcases ADAS features, including Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist, along with a 360-degree camera. In addition, the 2026 Tata Punch Facelift is expected to come equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, rear parking sensors, Brake Assist, and rain-sensing wipers. Notably, the Tata Punch already holds a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, further strengthening its position as one of the safest SUVs in the micro-SUV segment.

Engine and Mileage

The 2026 Tata Punch Facelift is likely to retain the existing 1.2-litre petrol and CNG powertrains, producing around 88 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. In terms of fuel efficiency, the SUV is expected to deliver 20–22 kmpl in petrol mode, while the CNG variant could offer mileage of up to 27 km/kg.
