Hyundai India will soon
introduce its popular and affordable SUV, the Hyundai Venue in a new avatar
for the Indian market. The updated model has already been spotted multiple
times during testing on Indian roads. The 2025 Hyundai Venue will get upgrades
in design, features, and interiors, although there will be no changes to the
powertrain options. Its price is also expected to remain under ₹10 lakh. Let’s
see what the new Venue might offer.
Launch Details
The new-generation Hyundai Venue (codenamed QU2i) will launch in India by the
end of 2025, most likely in October during the festive season. This will be the
second generation of Hyundai’s best-selling sub-4 metre compact SUV, to be
manufactured at the Talegaon plant.
Design
The new Venue will have a more boxy and robust design, with styling cues
inspired by the
Creta and Alcazar. At the front, it will feature a new
rectangular grille, split LED headlamps, and a revised bumper. On the sides, it
is expected to get thick wheel arches and newly designed 16-inch diamond-cut
alloy wheels. At the rear, there will be connected LED tail-lamps, a redesigned
tailgate, and a new bumper. Overall, the design will offer a modern and premium
look.
Interior
The interior of the new Venue will be completely redesigned, featuring high-end
elements inspired by models like the
Creta and Alcazar. It is likely to get a
12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument
cluster, and a 5-inch climate control display, together forming a 30-inch
dual-screen setup. Other highlights may include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated
front seats, a powered driver’s seat, and sliding/reclining second-row seats.
The SUV will also feature Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car technology with 60+
features and a voice assistant supporting both Hindi and English.
Safety
In terms of safety, the new Venue will feature Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver
Assistance System) with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane
Keep Assist, and Automatic Emergency Braking. Additionally, it will be equipped
with 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, rear disc
brakes, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. The high-strength steel
superstructure chassis will further enhance safety.
Engine and Mileage
The new Venue will retain its existing engine options. The 1.2-litre naturally
aspirated petrol engine produces 83 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque,
delivering a maximum mileage of 17.5 kmpl with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The
1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 120 PS and 172 Nm, offering up to 18.2
kmpl with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT transmission. It will also
be available with a 1.5-litre diesel engine delivering 116 PS and 250 Nm,
paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, capable of
returning up to 23.4 kmpl.
