Skoda's Premium SUV with Panoramic Sunroof & ADAS Coming Soon to India
By CarVaidyaSkoda showcased the second-generation Kodiaq at the 2025 Auto Expo. Initially, the SUV was expected to launch in India by mid-2025. However, Skoda Auto India's Brand Director, Petr Janeba, has now confirmed that the prices for the new model will be announced in April 2025. Let’s explore its details.
The upcoming Kodiaq will be offered in two trims: Sportline and the top-spec Laurin and Klement (L&K). It is expected to feature an all-black front grille, black ORVMs, and a unique set of alloy wheels. The SUV will also come with 20-inch alloy wheels and wheel arches with black cladding.

At the rear, C-shaped LED taillights connected by a light bar will be present. The top-spec Laurin and Klement variants will have a more premium look with dual-tone alloy wheels and additional premium touches.

The second-generation Kodiaq will likely retain the 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine from the previous model. This engine will produce 190hp and 320Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, delivering power to all four wheels.
The previous model of the Kodiaq was available in India in a single Laurin and Klement variant, priced at ₹40.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming new-generation Kodiaq is expected to start at around ₹45 lakh (ex-showroom). Final pricing and detailed specifications will be revealed in April 2025.
