Tata Harrier EV Sees Surge in Bookings, 30-Week Waiting Period

Tata Motors recently launched the Harrier EV in the Indian market as a powerful electric SUV. This made-in-India electric car has created a strong buzz right after its debut. According to the company, the Tata Harrier EV received an overwhelming response from customers at launch, leading to a significant rise in its waiting period.

The TataHarrier EV was officially launched on June 3, 2025, and received over 10,000 bookings on the very first day. Due to the ongoing surge in bookings, the waiting period for this e-SUV has now stretched to 30 weeks, reflecting its growing popularity. Bookings officially began on July 2, 2025, and deliveries are expected to begin soon.

Price

The Tata Harrier EV starts at ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹30.23 lakh for the top-spec Empowered QWD 75 variant. The Stealth Edition, based on the top-spec, is priced between ₹28.24 lakh and ₹29.74 lakh (ex-showroom).

Design

The Harrier EV’s design is similar to its ICE model but features EV-specific changes such as a closed-off grille, LED DRLs, and 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Color options include Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, Pure Grey, Pristine White, and Matte Stealth Black.

Interior and Features

The cabin sports a dual-tone white and grey theme, a 14.5-inch Samsung Neo QLED touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, and a JBL audio system. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and a UPI-based DrivePay system. Safety features include 7 airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control.

Battery, Motor, and Range

The Harrier EV is available with two battery options (65 kWh and 75 kWh). The 75 kWh RWD variant offers an ARAI-rated range of 627 km, and the AWD variant delivers 622 km, with real-world range between 480-505 km. The dual-motor AWD setup produces 390 bhp and 504 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds. A 120 kW DC fast charger can provide 250 km of range in just 15 minutes.
