Tata Motors is preparing to launch its Tiago hatchback and Tigor sedan in a new avatar. According to reports, the facelift versions of these two cars could be launched at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025. In the Indian market, they will compete with the new-gen Maruti Swift and Dzire.

Design

The new Tiago and Tigor facelift models will feature cosmetic updates to their exteriors. These may include new headlamps, DRLs, radiator grille, bumpers, alloy wheels, and tail lamps. Additionally, some new attractive color options may also be introduced.

Features

Both cars are expected to come equipped with several attractive features. These may include a touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB Type-C ports, and a wireless smartphone charger, among other advanced features.

Performance

According to reports, no changes will be made to the powertrain of the Tata Tiago and Tigor. Both models come with a 1.2-liter petrol engine that generates 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, a 1.2-liter CNG engine option delivers 73.5 PS of power and 95 Nm of peak torque. Depending on the variant, these cars offer a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic gearbox. The mileage of these cars ranges between 19.43 km/l and 28.06 km/l.

Safety Features

The new Tata Tiago hatchback and Tigor sedan are expected to come equipped with safety features like 6 airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), and a 360-degree camera to ensure passenger safety. Both cars are likely to be launched at a budget-friendly price to compete with the Maruti Swift and Dzire. Currently, the Tiago hatchback is priced between ₹5 lakh and ₹8.75 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Tigor sedan is priced between ₹6 lakh and ₹9.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
