Top-Selling MPVs H1 FY2026: Ertiga Leads, Carens Gains Fast

People looking for excellent comfort and more space often turn to MPVs (Multi-Purpose Vehicles). That’s why many buyers prefer MPVs as their ideal family car. Speaking of sales, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga emerged as the best-selling MPV in the first half of FY2026. Kia’s sales also showed a significant rise. Let’s take a look at the Model-Wise Sales Report —

At the top of the list is the popular 7-seater Maruti Ertiga, which attracted 93,235 new customers in H1 FY2026. Compared to 95,061 units sold in H1 FY2025, this marks a 2% year-on-year decline. The Ertiga is available at a starting price of ₹8.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

In second place is the well-known 7-seater Toyota Innova, which recorded 53,589 units sold in the first half of FY2026. This is a 2% increase compared to 52,714 units sold during the same period in FY2025.

Securing the third spot, the Kia Carens achieved impressive growth. It registered 41,831 new customers in H1 FY2026, compared to 33,575 units sold in H1 FY2024 — a remarkable 25% year-on-year growth.

In fourth place, the Maruti XL6 saw 16,947 new customers during this period. This represents a 13% year-on-year decline from the 19,470 units sold in H1 FY2025.

Recently updated, the Renault Triber managed to secure a place in the list of Top 5 MPVs. It recorded 10,677 new customers in H1 FY2026, compared to 10,096 units in H1 FY2025, reflecting a 6% year-on-year decline.

Apart from these top five MPVs, Toyota Rumion sold 7,267 units, Maruti Suzuki Invicto sold 1,491 units, Toyota Vellfire sold 596 units, Kia Carnival sold 425 units, and Mahindra Marazzo managed to sell just 252 units during the same period.
