Top-Selling SUVs of December 2025: Mahindra Scorpio to Maruti Suzuki Victoris

The demand for SUVs remains very strong in the Indian market, and the same trend was seen last month as well. On one hand, the Mahindra Scorpio emerged as the best-selling SUV in its segment. On the other hand, Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara also recorded a strong jump in sales. Let’s take a look at the best-selling SUVs in this segment.

The Scorpio and Scorpio-N secured the top position on the list. Together, they attracted a total of 15,885 new customers last month. This figure reflects an impressive 30 percent year-on-year growth compared to the 12,195 units sold in December 2024.

Hyundai Creta ranked second in terms of sales. Last month, a total of 13,154 units of the Creta were sold. This marks a 4 percent year-on-year growth compared to the 12,608 units sold in December 2024.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara secured the third position on the list. This popular hybrid SUV gained 8,597 new customers in December 2025. The numbers show a strong 21 percent year-on-year growth compared to the 7,093 units sold in December 2024.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder ranked fourth in terms of sales. This 5-seater SUV gained a total of 7,022 new customers last month. This figure reflects a strong 47 percent year-on-year growth compared to the 4,770 units sold in December 2024.

The recently launched Maruti Suzuki Victoris has made a strong impact right after its launch. India’s most affordable hybrid car attracted 6,210 new customers last month. With this performance, the Victoris secured a place in the Top 5 best-selling cars list for December 2025.

Apart from the top five SUVs mentioned above, Kia Seltos recorded sales of 4,369 units, Tata Harrier sold 2,378 units, Honda Elevate saw 2,289 units, Volkswagen Taigun recorded 1,778 units, and Tata Safari sold only 1,446 units last month.
