The demand for compact cars in the Indian market is steadily increasing. This is why automakers are preparing to launch several ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) cars in this segment at affordable prices. In this article, let's explore the details of the upcoming ICE cars.

New-Gen Hyundai Venue

The Korean automaker is gearing up to launch its budget-friendly sub-four-meter SUV, the Venue, in a brand-new avatar. The new-generation Hyundai Venue is expected to be launched around Diwali this year. Testing of the new-gen Venue has already begun. It will feature design updates and several modern features.

New-Gen Hyundai Venue

The new-generation Hyundai Venue is expected to come with new headlamps, a redesigned grille, updated front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels, ventilated front seats, new upholstery, a redesigned dashboard, and an updated tailgate. For safety, it will offer six airbags and a 360-degree camera.

The powertrain options will remain unchanged from the previous model, and it will continue to offer three engine choices.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid

Maruti Suzuki is set to introduce its popular compact SUV, Fronx, with a hybrid engine in the Indian market. It is expected to be launched in early 2026 at a highly affordable price, with an estimated starting price of under ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Fronx Hybrid will be powered by the newly developed Z12 engine. Additionally, the strong hybrid variant will feature a 1.5-2 kWh battery pack connected to an electric motor. The hybrid engine is expected to deliver an impressive fuel efficiency of up to 35 km/l (KMPL).

Upcoming Fronx Hybrid

The test mule of the upcoming Fronx Hybrid suggests that it might come equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) sensors. Additionally, it is expected to feature a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags as standard safety features.

Tata Altroz Facelift

Tata Motors is also preparing to introduce the Altroz in a refreshed avatar. Recent test mules hint at an updated version. The Altroz facelift will continue to offer a 1.2L petrol engine and a 1.5L diesel engine, available with both manual and automatic transmission options. More details are expected to emerge in the coming months.

Renault Kiger Facelift

Renault is working on the facelifted version of its popular compact SUV, the Kiger. The updated model has been spotted multiple times during testing. It is likely to feature design and interior updates. The facelifted Kiger will retain the 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine and the 1.0L turbo-petrol engine, similar to the current model.
