India's longest-running sedan nameplate has received its second
mid-lifecycle update. The 2026 Honda City has been launched with introductory
prices starting at Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom), bringing a comprehensively revised
exterior and a handful of new interior features to the fifth-generation model
that first arrived in 2020.
The updated City is offered across four trims: SV,
V, ZX, and ZX+. Honda has retained both powertrain options from the outgoing
model, keeping the mechanical package unchanged while focusing the update on
design and equipment.

2026 Honda City
Facelift - Exterior Design Changes
The front end has been
completely redesigned. Sleeker headlamps now carry a two-part brow-style LED
DRL signature connected by a light bar, flanking a new honeycomb-patterned
grille topped by a body-coloured panel that replaces the earlier chrome trim.
Honda says the revised units throw light over a longer and wider range than
before.
The bumper gets a widened central air intake and
new triangular side intakes for a sharper look. The rear receives a two-tone
bumper with edge-mounted reflectors and a body-coloured faux diffuser. New
dual-tone 16-inch alloys and a new black colour option round out the changes,
alongside five carried-over shades.

Facelift - Interior & Features
Inside, the most notable addition is a
10.1-inch touchscreen, which sits slightly proud of the dashboard rather than
flush-mounted. The dual-tone theme, AC vents, centre console, and part-digital
instrument cluster carry over unchanged. Tactile HVAC dials and
steering-mounted controls are retained. Other new additions include a
360-degree camera and front ventilated seats. The City facelift continues to
offer an 8-speaker sound system, ambient lighting, wireless Apple CarPlay and
Android Auto, wireless phone charging, a sunroof, and a rear windscreen
sunshade. Level 2 ADAS, a lane watch camera, rain-sensing wipers, hill-start
assist, and six airbags are also carried forward.
2026 Honda City Facelift - Powertrain
The 2026 Honda City continues with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol producing
121hp and 145 N · m, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed CVT. The strong
hybrid e: HEV variant uses a 1.5-litre unit making 126hp and 253Nm with an e-CVT,
returning a claimed 27.26kpl. Honda is offering a 5-year warranty on all hybrid
components.
