The Indian car market has a tremendous demand for sub-4m SUVs. Companies frequently introduce new models in this segment. Recently, Kia Syros and Skoda Kylaq were added. Let’s see which SUV dominated this segment in February 2025.
Maruti Brezza
Maruti Brezza holds the top position in the sub-4m SUV segment. Last month, 15,392 units were sold, marking a 4.37% monthly increase compared to the 14,747 units sold in January 2025.
The starting ex-showroom price of the Brezza is ₹8.34 lakh, going up to ₹13.98 lakh for the top-spec variant. The company offers it with features like a sunroof, head-up display, 9-inch SmartPlay infotainment system, 360-degree camera, wireless charger, and 6 airbags. Its powerful 1.5-liter engine delivers a mileage of 20.15 km/l with petrol and up to 25.51 km/kg with CNG.
Tata Nexon
Nexon holds the second spot on the list. Last month, it gained a total of 15,349 new customers. This figure shows a negligible monthly decline of 0.31% compared to the 15,397 units sold in January 2025.
Hyundai Venue
Hyundai Venue saw a decline in sales monthly. Last month, 10,125 units were sold, indicating an 8.83% drop compared to the 11,106 units sold in January 2025.
Mahindra XUV 3XO
The XUV 3XO ranked fourth on the list and also experienced a slight drop in sales. 7,861 units were sold last month, marking a 7% decline compared to the 8,454 units sold in January 2025.
Kia Sonet
Kia Sonet made its place among the top five best-selling sub-4m SUVs with an increase in sales. Last month, it gained 7,598 new customers, reflecting a 5.61% growth compared to the 7,194 units sold in January 2025.
Apart from the top five sub-4m SUVs mentioned above, the Kia Syros recorded sales of 5,425 units, Skoda Kylaq sold 3,636 units, Nissan Magnite sold 2,328 units, and Renault Kiger sold 433 units.
In total, 68,147 new SUVs were sold in the segment, reflecting a 1.94% increase compared to the 66,845 units sold in January 2025.
