Citroen has teased the
new 2026 eC3X electric car ahead of its launch in India. The updated model is
expected to be the most comprehensive upgrade for the electric hatchback,
featuring several exterior and interior enhancements.
Citroen Teases New eC3X EV
French automaker
Citroen is preparing to launch the updated 2026 eC3X EV in the Indian market.
Last year, the company refreshed much of its lineup with revised exterior styling,
upgraded interiors, and additional premium features under the new 'X' branding.

However, the eC3 electric hatchback was the
only model in the affordable range that did not receive the update. The
upcoming eC3X is now set to join the refreshed X family with a host of visual
and feature upgrades. The update is expected
to significantly improve the cabin experience with a more premium dashboard,
redesigned seats, and upgraded materials. On the outside, it could receive new
LED headlamps and DRLs inspired by the X lineup, similar to the updated
petrol-powered C3.

Expected Battery And Features
The battery pack is likely to remain unchanged.
The eC3X is expected to continue with the 29.2 kWh lithium-ion battery paired
with a single electric motor producing 57 hp and 143 Nm of torque. This setup
could deliver a claimed driving range of up to 246 km and a top speed of 106
km/h.
Several features are
expected to be borrowed from the higher variants of the petrol C3. These could
include a fully digital driver display, a larger infotainment system, a
360-degree camera, an auto-dimming IRVM, six standard airbags, redesigned seats,
and new AC vents. Additional premium
features could include fabric upholstery, wireless Android Auto and Apple
CarPlay, wireless charging support, an upgraded audio system, and a dedicated
drive mode selector.
A Much-Needed Update For The eC3
The upcoming eC3X facelift is expected to serve as a fresh replacement for the current eC3 EV,
which now appears dated compared to newer rivals. With a fresher design,
upgraded features, and improved cabin quality, the eC3X could emerge as a more
compelling alternative to the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV.
