Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch new vehicles featuring strong hybrid engines

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid Facelift

The company has commenced testing the new Fronx Hybrid on public roads. Expected to launch in 2025, this model will feature a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor and battery, aiming for a fuel efficiency exceeding 35 kmpl.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 7-Seater Hybrid

Anticipated for a Diwali 2025 release, the seven-seater Grand Vitara, internally codenamed Y17, will be based on the Suzuki Global C platform with an extended wheelbase. It is expected to offer a 1.5-liter K15C petrol mild-hybrid engine and a 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle strong hybrid engine, with fuel efficiency potentially exceeding 25 kmpl. Features may include advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), all-wheel drive (AWD), a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags, positioning it as a premium offering in its segment.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Strong Hybrid

The next-generation Baleno hatchback is expected to receive a new series hybrid powertrain, with an official launch projected for 2026. The company aims to sell 60,000 units of this model annually.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Strong Hybrid

A strong hybrid version of the Swift is anticipated to debut in 2027. As a significant model for Maruti Suzuki, incorporating a strong hybrid system is expected to enhance its fuel efficiency and popularity.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire Strong Hybrid:

Reports suggest that Maruti Suzuki may introduce a strong hybrid variant of the Dzire subcompact sedan, likely featuring a hybrid powertrain similar to that of the Swift Hybrid.

These developments reflect Maruti Suzuki's commitment to offering a diverse range of hybrid vehicles, catering to the increasing demand for environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient transportation options in the Indian market.
