well-known in the Indian market for its popular SUVs. The company offers a wide range of
vehicles, from the Mahindra XUV 3X0 to premium and electric SUVs like
the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e. Last month, Mahindra recorded
impressive sales, surpassing Hyundai and Tata Motors.

the company also sells lifestyle SUVs under the names Mahindra Thar and Mahindra
Thar Roxx. Customers can buy these in both 3-door and 5-door options. These

Last month, a
total of 10,703 units of this lifestyle SUV were sold. Compared to 6,160
units sold in April 2024, this represents a remarkable 74% year-on-year
growth. Moreover, in March 2025, 8,936 units were sold —
showing a 20% month-on-month increase in sales.

Mahindra
continues to sell the existing 3-door Thar alongside the newly launched Thar
Roxx in the Indian market.

The company
offers these SUVs in multiple variant options to cater to different customer
preferences.
Features
The Mahindra Thar Roxx comes loaded with advanced features such as twin
10.25-inch digital displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster,
a panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound
system, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, multi-drive modes, 6 airbags, a
360-degree camera, and Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
Engine and
Mileage
Customers can choose between two engine options — a 2.2-liter DGTI petrol
and a 2.0-liter CRTI diesel. Both powertrains are available with a
6-speed manual transmission or a torque converter automatic gearbox, along with
an AWD (All-Wheel Drive) option.
The claimed
maximum mileage is 15.2 kmpl. Regarding power output
- The 2.2-liter DGTI petrol
engine delivers 177 PS of power and 380 Nm of peak
torque.
- The 2.0-liter, four-cylinder
mHawk diesel engine produces 175 PS of power and 370 Nm
of torque.
In the Indian
market, the Mahindra Thar competes directly with the Force Gurkha and Maruti
Suzuki Jimny.
