The bumper has been redesigned and
now features a silver skid plate, giving the SUV a more rugged look. The side
profile gets slightly more muscular wheel arches along with new 15-inch
dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, the LED tail lamps have been retained, but
it now gets a new wing-type spoiler and an updated bumper, which adds a fresh
appeal.
Matte and Dual-Tone New Color Options
Hyundai Motor
Company has introduced some new color options with the exterior facelift,
including Titanium Black Matte and Golden Bronze. In addition, colors like
Starry Night, Atlas White, Titan Grey, Titanium Black, and Ranger Khaki
continue to be available as before. Notably, the Ranger Khaki color can now
also be chosen with a dual-tone (black roof) option, making it even more
attractive.
New Cabin Theme and Improved Comfort
The interior of the new Hyundai Exter Facelift also gets subtle updates, giving it a more premium feel. It now features a Navy Blue and Grey dual-tone theme, which extends across the dashboard and door panels. The steering wheel has been updated, although it still carries the company’s traditional “H” logo. The cabin layout remains largely the same, offering a dual-screen setup and a clean design. The biggest update is the addition of an armrest for the driver’s seat, which enhances comfort on long drives. Additionally, rear passengers now get a Type-C charging port, which is a useful feature.
Small Improvements with a Strong Feature Package
The new Exter facelift continues to offer a long list of features, including auto headlamps, auto-dimming IRVM, a semi-digital driver display, sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control, and wireless charging. Additionally, the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system now supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enhancing the overall user experience. In terms of safety, the car is well-equipped. It comes with features like 6 airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts, TPMS, rear camera, parking sensors, hill start assist, and a factory-fitted dashcam.
Engine and Performance
Hyundai Motor Company has not made any changes to the engine of the Exter facelift. It continues to use the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 83 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque. In the CNG variant, the power output is 69 PS and torque is 95 Nm. It is offered with both a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox option. The CNG version comes with dual-cylinder technology, which provides better boot space and makes it more practical for daily use.
Rivals
The Hyundai Exter Facelift mainly competes with cars like the Tata Punch and Citroën C3. Additionally, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios can also be considered as an alternative, as both are based on the same platform.
