JSW MG Motor India: Strengthening Domestic Presence with New Launches

JSW MG Motor
India is performing well in the domestic market. Currently, the Windsor EV is
the best-selling electric car. Aiming to further strengthen its presence, the company plans to launch several new products in the coming days. The list
of upcoming cars includes models like the MG Cyberster and the MG Majestor. Let’s take a look at the
details revealed so far.
At the top of
the list is the MG Cyberster, which will be MG’s first premium sports
car in the Indian market. It was showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility
Global Expo and is now scheduled to launch in April 2025. The car is
making headlines for its striking design and impressive performance.
The Cyberster
comes equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack, which generates 510 hp
of power and 725 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h
in just 3.2 seconds. The claimed range of the Cyberster is up to 580 km
(CLTC cycle).
The car will be
offered with scissor-style doors, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a power-operated
soft-top roof. Inside the cabin, it features a 10.25-inch touchscreen,
two 7-inch displays, and Nappa leather interiors, providing a
luxurious feel.
The Cyberster
also comes equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which include features such as lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and emergency
braking.
The expected
starting price is around ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom), and it will be sold
through MG Select Dealerships.
The MG M9 is a premium electric MPV, known globally as the Maxus
Mifa 9. It is expected to launch in India by June 2025.
In terms of
design, it features projector LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels,
and connected LED tail lights, giving it a luxury MPV look comparable to
the Toyota Vellfire.
The M9 is
powered by a 90 kWh battery pack coupled with a front-axle mounted
electric motor that produces 244 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The
claimed driving range is between 430 to 500 km.
It will be
available in 6- or 7-seat configurations, and the interior offers dual-tone
black and tan leatherette upholstery.
This car will
also be sold through MG Select Dealerships.
The MG
Majestor is a premium SUV and will be an updated version of the MG Gloster. It was showcased at the India Mobility Expo 2025
and is expected to launch in May 2025.
The Majestor
features a large octagonal grille, vertically stacked LED headlamps,
and connected LED tail lamps, giving it a muscular design.
Engine options
are likely to include the Gloster’s 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel (158.7
bhp, 373.5 Nm) and a twin-turbo diesel (212.5 bhp, 478.5 Nm).
Key features
will include three-zone climate control, ventilated seats, and a panoramic
sunroof.
The estimated
starting price could be around ₹45 lakh (ex-showroom).
