British carmaker Mini
will launch the Countryman C in India tomorrow (17 June 2026), with prices
expected in the ₹58.00-58.50 lakh (ex-showroom) range. The Mini Countryman C
marks a significant milestone for the brand as the first Countryman variant to
be locally assembled in India, at the BMW Group's Chennai plant.
Bookings for the Countryman C are already open via
Mini's official website. The Mini Countryman C will slot below the Countryman
JCW All4, which retails at ₹64.90 lakh ex-showroom, and takes on the BMW X1,
Audi Q3, and Mercedes-Benz GLA in the premium compact SUV segment.
A 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol
engine, shared with the BMW X1, powers the Mini Countryman C. The engine cranks
out 134bhp and 230Nm of torque, and the drive goes to the front wheels via a
seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. All-wheel drive is not an option for
the Mini Countryman C in India.

Exterior Design
The Mini Countryman C
gets ICE-specific styling elements that differentiate it from the Countryman
Electric. These elements include re-profiled front and rear bumpers, a slightly
revised grille layout, body-coloured door handles, and matrix LED tail-lamps.
A champagne-coloured exterior trim package and
bespoke alloy wheels are also part of the package for the Mini Countryman C in
India. The roof, ORVM housings, and all door pillars are finished in black.
Five paint options are available for the Mini Countryman C: Chilli Red, British
Racing Green, Nanuq White, Slate Blue, and Smokey Green.

Interior and Features
The cabin of the Mini Countryman C moves away
from traditional chrome and leather, featuring a fabric-finished dashboard with

centre of the dashboard.
Additional highlights
for the Mini Countryman C include a head-up display, paddle shifters, a premium
audio system, and cruise control. A panoramic sunroof, vertically oriented
air-conditioning vents, dual-zone climate control, and physical climate control
keys complete the interior.
