According to the report released by SIAM, there has been a 25 percent increase in vehicle sales nationwide during April 2024. Approximately 2.1 million vehicles were sold last month. According to SIAM President Vinod Agrawal, the two-wheeler vehicle segment saw the highest sales, followed by the passenger vehicle segment and then three-wheeler vehicles. Compared to previous years, April sales this year have been better, with an increase in sales during this period. SIAM's Director General Rajesh Menon stated that compared to last year, there has been a 1.3 percent increase in passenger vehicle sales in April this year. Moreover, the two-wheeler vehicle segment has recorded a growth rate of more than 30 percent year-on-year.

According to the report released by SIAM, a total of 2,088,274 units of vehicles were sold nationwide during the month of April. This includes 335,629 units sold in the passenger vehicle segment, 1,751,393 units sold in the two-wheeler vehicle segment, and 49,116 units sold in the three-wheeler vehicle segment. On a year-on-year basis, during April 2023, there were 331,278 units sold in the passenger vehicle segment, 1,338,588 units sold in the two-wheeler vehicle segment, and 42,885 units sold in the three-wheeler vehicle segment.
