Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan currently sells two cars in the Indian market – Magnite and X-Trail. Considering the growing automobile business in India, the company is now preparing to expand its portfolio. Recently, the brand announced that it will soon expand its lineup in the Indian market.

According to Nissan Motor India, preparations are underway to launch a new C-SUV and a 7-seater compact MPV for the Indian market. These models are expected to be launched by the end of 2025. Let’s take a look at the upcoming Nissan cars in India in this article.

Upcoming Nissan 7-Seater Compact MPV

Recently, the Japanese automobile brand announced the launch of an all-new 7-seater MPV for India. It is expected to be introduced by the end of 2025 and will be based on the CMF-A platform. This platform is also used in the Renault Triber, which is an affordable 7-seater MPV in the Indian market.

It is believed that Nissan's upcoming 7-seater car will have a design similar to the Renault Triber. The new teaser showcases its unique styling, which looks quite modern and updated.

If we talk about the powertrain of the upcoming Nissan 7-seater MPV, it is expected to feature a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine will produce 72 bhp and 96 Nm of torque and will be available with a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox option.

Upcoming Nissan 5-Seater C-SUV

The company recently announced the launch of a new mid-size SUV for India, which is expected to be introduced in early 2026. This SUV could be based on the CMF-B platform and may feature uniquely designed LED DRLs and a sculpted bonnet.

The design of Nissan’s upcoming mid-size SUV is expected to resemble the Renault Duster. It is likely to be powered by a 1.3-liter turbo petrol engine producing 154 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
